Jamie Sarai Margolin

Climate Justice Activist + Author
Jamie Sarai Margolin is a 17-year-old climate justice activist from Seattle whose activism is rooted in tackling climate change as the social and hummanitarian crisis that it is. Jamie is still in high school, but her overwhelming homework load doesn't stop her from leading an international young women of color led climate justice movement "Zero Hour", which organized the first ever youth climate march in the summer of 2018 in DC and 25 cities all around the world.

Her climate activism is rooted in social justice, and her identity as the gay jewish latina daughter of a Colombian immigrant, motivates her to fight for those who are marginalized. Jamie is also a writer, and her debut book "Youth to Power", the ultimate guide to being a youth activist, is hitting bookstores worldwide in 2020.
