Ruthann Dunn manages the King County Metro Transit Division (MTD) Comfort Station Program, leading MTD’s groundbreaking efforts in providing basic human needs to its front line employees. The industry-leading effort has led to calls for guidance from transit agencies across the continent, and non-transit agencies with mobile workforces, as well as regional and national regulatory agencies. Her holistic approach to programmatic development is driven by an open-minded strategic focus on improving employee health and safety, increasing access to relief facilities, and developing MTD’s efficiency in planning systematic comfort station access. Ruthann continues to advocate for stakeholders at all phases of strategic and long-range planning, finding solutions, bridging policy and actions to build a sustainable and equitable future.
